The Return of the Newbury Duathlon – 18 April 2027
The Newbury Duathlon is back for 2027, returning on Sunday 18th April and based at Chieveley Village Hall & Recreational Centre in Newbury, Berkshire. Whether you’re chasing a PB or taking on your first multi‑sport event, this classic run–bike–run format offers a friendly atmosphere and a stunning route through the West Berkshire countryside.
Event format
Run 1 – 5 km A mainly off‑road run on well‑maintained, wide paths. The route is gently undulating and ideal for both experienced runners and newcomers, with plenty of space to settle into your pace.
Bike – 25 km A beautiful tour of the downs and surrounding villages. The course rolls through open countryside and quiet lanes—though the faster competitors may be too focused on speed to fully enjoy the views.
Run 2 – 5 km (final lap) The second run follows the same route as the first. After completing the main loop, you’ll run once around the field before turning into the clearly marked finish area to complete your duathlon.
