Mallorca 2026

Saturday 26th September - Saturday 3rd October

Pollença

Following our successful 2025 Mallorca trip, what began in 2024 as a few chance encounters between members on the island has now grown into one of the club’s most anticipated annual adventures. With an even bigger group heading out in 2025, riders once again came together to enjoy Mallorca’s fantastic roads, sunshine, and relaxed social atmosphere. Some treated the week as a focused training block, while others embraced the scenic routes at an easier pace. Members brought their own bikes or hired locally, staying anywhere from a long weekend to a full week. Although accommodation was arranged individually or in small groups, the highlight remained gathering each evening to share food, stories, and the day’s memorable moments. It’s now firmly established as a favourite in the NVCC calendar, and 2026 promises to build on everything that has made the trip so special.

Riding

Mallorca has amazing cycling opportunities, stunning scenery, and great climbs. It is hugely popular as a cycling destination. You won’t see lots of cars on the roads, but you will see hundreds of cyclists.

As well as some fantastic climbs that are semi-alpine, there is also lots of flat riding with beautiful Spanish towns and villages. Many cafes are available wherever you go for a coffee stop or two.

Depending on who decides to come along, we’ll look to have rides that match our coffee ride speeds. You can ride in small groups or book something with local ride guides. The plan is for a relaxed few days riding the way you want.

We will post some routes on Spond before we travel to allow you to download them and be set to pedal as soon as you land.

Accommodation

The idea is that everyone stays in the same area, and Pollença is really lovely. Choose either Porta Pollença for a more touristy style and seafront location or Pollença Old Town for lovely old squares and cafes.

We'll look to plan rides that can pick up in one direction or another from those two locations. Hopefully, there will be opportunities to get together in the morning for breakfast or coffee before we ride and then eat together in the evening to enjoy some social time, even if we ride in different groups. Partners who don't ride are, of course, welcome.

Bikes

Take your own bike or hire on the island? There are plenty of good bike hire options in Mallorca, and people in the club who have been before will be able to recommend them. However, booking your hire bike sooner rather than later is important, as Mallorca can run out of bikes!

Benefits of taking your own: You get to ride your own bike and sit on the same saddle you’re used to. It’s also slightly cheaper, depending on your airline.

Benefits of hiring: Less hassle getting to the airport and getting a transfer to the other side; your precious bike doesn’t go through airports. If you have a mechanical problem on a hired bike, the company will usually come and get you and repair it.

Planning

  • We’ve set the dates to be just off-season to keep costs down.

  • We’ll set up a chat group to compare notes and coordinate the week.

  • Arrive anytime from Sunday, the 21st of September, and to return home after 2, 3 4 or five days cycling to suit your own needs, they will be riding Sunday pm to Thursday am.

  • We’ll map the locations people book for accommodation and try to make the start and finish points easily reachable.

  • If you have ridden routes and want to share them, we will publish them and use them if possible.

  • Individually book cars or taxis for transfers or other island activities when you are not riding, teaming up, or going alone.

If you plan to come, or think that you may, email Simon using the button below, or sign up on Spond
